Villa Gaia is a hidden gem! Quiet yet steps from the main street. Disappointed with the shared terrace and limited sea views.

    friendly host
    noisy air conditioning
    cramped terrace

Josephine, our host, made us feel truly at home.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was outdated and quite noisy, which disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the shared terrace felt cramped at times, making it difficult to fully enjoy the scenic views. Despite the lovely setting and Josephine's hospitality, some aspects of the stay fell short of my expectations.

I loved the vibrant atmosphere, walking through the old town with its charming streets. The room offered breathtaking views of the sea and Mount Etna, especially when the clouds parted. I felt truly welcomed by the friendly host, who made my stay feel like home.

Finding transportation from the train station can be tricky without proper planning.

During my stay, I enjoyed the breathtaking views of both Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea from the double room with sea view. The location was ideal, just a short distance from Corso Umberto 1, allowing easy access to local attractions. Josephine was an outstanding host—she provided excellent recommendations and even allowed an early check-in. The accommodation was comfortable and exuded authentic Italian charm.

The shared terrace could feel cramped at times.

The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of Taormina. With our two teenagers, we loved lounging on the spacious terrace, soaking in the breathtaking views of Mount Etna. Josephine, our host, made us feel at home and provided excellent recommendations for local entertainment.

My wife says that the shared terrace could use more space.

Though the location is conveniently close to the main street, the communal terrace felt a bit cramped during peak times. The attentive host and the lovely electric coffee maker added a nice touch to the experience, while the breathtaking views from the balcony made for a memorable stay. However, accessing transportation from the train station proved to be a bit of a challenge without prior planning.

The Double or Twin Room with Sea View we stayed in was really nice! Super comfy beds and lovely views of the sea and Mount Etna from our balcony. The decor had an authentic Italian vibe with charming details. It made relaxing in the evening a treat! The only downside was the shared terrace, which felt a bit cramped when everyone wanted to enjoy the sights together.
